Gun in hand is best border protection, NRA chief contends
Violence along the U.S. Mexico border highlights the need for people to arm themselves, Wayne LaPierre, executive vice president of the National Rifle Association, said on Tuesday. The leader of the country’s largest gun rights advocacy group said people living near the border, plagued by a war among heavily armed drug cartels, can’t count on the government to protect them.
