California: Pro-Hunting Bill to be Heard April 8th (Today)

Call members of the Assembly Water, Parks and Wildlife Committee Immediately

Tomorrow, Today, the Assembly Water, Parks and Wildlife Committee is scheduled to hear Assembly Bill 1709, a pro-hunting bill.

AB 1709 would revise the eligibility age to purchase a junior hunting license to include minors that are 16 and 17 years of age.  Under current law, minors over the age of 15 are not authorized to purchase the affordable junior hunting licenses.

This important pro-hunting bill will help promote youth hunting in California by extending the junior hunting license eligibility to persons under the age of 18 and will provide more young people with an opportunity to participate in hunting activities, and to take advantage of special opportunities offered to junior hunters through hunting and wildlife programs.
